Our Choir

I tredici

I Tredici is a chamber choir formed by Andrew Foan during the Covid-19 pandemic to record Paul Carr’s new requiem, “The Light of Love”.

The aim is to provide a platform for living composers to promote and perform their works to new audiences, while giving performance opportunities to young professional singers. Our inaugural performance of “The Light of Love” was staged in the Chiesa della Madonna dell’Orto in August 2022 as a collaboration with Italian musicians.

I tredici will also give MusicaLink scholars the opportunity to sing with the choir in performances. Four participants in MusicaLinks summer schools have been invited back as scholars to sing in the Italian première of Paul Carr’s “Four New Seasons”. This will be staged in the spectacular scuola grande di San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice on 27th August with the “Orchestra di Venezia alongside the original “Quattro Stagioni” by Vivaldi.

I Tredici will always welcome contact from composers who would like to see their works performed.

Le Quattro Stagioni and The Four New Seasons

In our 2023 season, our four MusicaLink scholars were also given the opportunity to sing with I Tredici in the Italian première of Paul Carr’s “Four New Seasons” in the spectacular Scuola grande di San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice on 27th August with the “Orchestra Accademia di Venezia” alongside the original “Quattro Stagioni” by Vivaldi.
