Our 2023 Summer Season is now at an end, and what a season it was! Huge congratulations to all of our talented young musicians for their achievements.
Our week 1 Summer school culminated in a highly successful concert in the Concert Hall at the Campus San Giuseppe.
We welcomed our second group to prepare for a concert of ambitious opera scenes also in the Concert Hall. From Mozart to Donizzeti, our singers developed their dramatic skills and their growing confidence in Italian Recit was palpable!
This year, our MusicaLink scholars were invited to perform a concert of sacred oratorio repertoire in the Chiesa di Santa Augusta, to uproarious applause from an audience of locals and family members alike. They also put their Italian skills to the test, giving spoken introductions to their pieces in Italian.
We can’t wait to announce the details of our 2024 programme, which will provide yet more enriching opportunities for our young singers.
I Tredici and L’Orchestra Accademia di Venezia - Le Quattro Stagioni and Four New Seasons In our 2023 season, our four MusicaLink scholars were also given the opportunity to sing with I Tredici in the Italian première of Paul Carr’s “Four New Seasons” in the spectacular Scuola grande di San Giovanni Evangelista in Venice on 27th August with the “Orchestra Accademia di Venezia” alongside the original “Quattro Stagioni” by Vivaldi.
We’re so grateful that composer Paul Carr could come to Venice for this landmark concert.
