Cecilia is artistic director of Spectra Ensemble. She has recently directed Gianni Schicchi / Suor Angelica (Opernfest Berlin), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Opera Holland Park) and Madama Butterfly (revival, Royal Ballet and Opera). She has worked as staff director at English National Opera, Royal Ballet and Opera, Garsington Opera and Opera North. Future plans include directing Lucia di Lammermoor at Opera Holland Park.
Cecilia holds degrees in Music and History of Art from the University of Oxford and earned her AHRC-funded PhD in History of Art from University College London with the thesis "Opera as Multimedia: The Experiments of Wassily Kandinsky, Natalia Goncharova and Kurt Schwitters, 1908-1928" in 2022.
Previously, Cecilia worked as Public Engagement Curator at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, Oxford, where she staged LiveFridays. She initially trained as a violinist at the Junior Royal Academy of Music.
